My Spirit Guides gave me an exercise last year called the Arrow Exercise, that teaches you how to not react in a moment of stress. You do not have to forgive in the moment, you simply focus on not reacting. The forgiveness comes later and it comes in very strong.
With the Arrow Exercise, you see the emotion of the other person/news story/situation, as little arrows coming at you. You do not let the emotion arrows hit you. Instead, they go up and around you. That is all you need focus on at that time.
I am always the guinea pig for the exercises that I receive from my Guides. I like to practice and apply them in the “real world”. This exercise had a
profound affect on my life. I am very sensitive to harsh emotion and people’s behavior.
It allows me to no longer focus on the emotion of the situation. My Guides say that no matter what is happening, my only job in that moment is to not react. Their behavior is none of my business even if they are screaming at me.
Surprisingly, after working with this exercise for almost a year now, I am much less sensitive and much more compassionate towards humans.
When someone’s bad behavior towards you is no longer your business, you cannot help but to deeply love them despite their behavior. This is huge for me as I have always had a love for animals but did not really understand or even like most humans.
Now, the love for humans and animals is equal and people are beginning to fascinate me like never before. After a year of practice, I stopped using the arrows and began saying “no” to the emotion of the situation.
This was much easier for me and I thought that I would share this little shortcut with you. Instead of imagining arrows coming at you, you simply say “no” to allowing the situation to affect you emotionally.
Non-reaction is key because once you stop reacting to situations, the universe recognizes this and stops bringing you things to react to. Some situations still occur but I cannot tell you how powerful it feels to remain calm during a highly emotional situation.
It is the most powerful feeling in the world. My main emotional triggers used to occur when I saw those sad animal abuse commercials and when I was driving\in traffic. I have not seen one animal abuse commercial in the last 6 months!
I used to see them daily on the television. Saying no and practicing non-reaction has an extremely powerful affect on what you are reacting to. If you are reacting to an animal abuse story, non-reaction reflects badly needed innocence back to the abuser and it reflects deep compassion back to the animal itself.
Non-reaction has created situations for me that had thought of as impossible. I would have never picked up on them had my Guides not pointed them out. They say “you know how you didn’t react to this, this, and this? Well you have now created this beautiful scenario out in the world because of it”.
My Mom and I volunteer at the Beaver Humane Society and I never thought that I would be able to work in that environment because of my sensitivity to animal suffering. The animals are treated so well there. They rarely put animals to sleep. Instead, they circulate them to different shelters.
All of the animals are treated very well there. The dogs are given 3 walks per day and have beds, fleece blankets and multiple toys in their cages. We are encouraged to give them many treats. The cats have 2-story cages, fleece blankets, toys and are given wet and dry cat food every day.
We are also encouraged to give them cat treats. They are taken out of their cages and cuddled by volunteers once a day. Before I began to volunteer there, my Guides said that because I had been practicing non-reaction, the well being and care of the animals at this shelter was going to multiply exponentially because of the non-reaction and that it would be my gift, and it really was.
Imagine how much good we could do in the world if we all practiced non-reaction. My Guides say that this is how one person can have a huge affect on the world.
The Guides say that grief, sadness, fear and anger, all of which I had before, are disrespectful emotions to have toward any person, situation or animal. This is because they add to the suffering of the situation energetically, therefore causing more suffering.
I hear this from many Spirits in the card readings that I do. They always ask the relative to move on from any guilt that they feel about the passing. They say that the best way that you can honor their memory is to have positive thoughts about their passing and positive memories about their life. Guilt-ridden and sad thoughts keep you in the past, are disrespectful and cause more suffering.
To do this:
You simply say “no” (out loud or in your head) to allowing the emotion of any situation affect you. It doesn’t matter if the situation is occurring now, or if it occurred in the past. If you are remembering something that occurred earlier that day, or even years before, you say no to the negative thoughts about the situation.
I love you all, so much.

When you are talking to Sparkle, miracles happen. Her erudite and profound way of getting to the bottom of what it is we are believing is second to none. I've watched as Sparkle listens to someone and finds a way of getting exactly to where that person needs to see from, just by being her wonderful and intuitive self. Her name fits her perfectly, this sparkling ray of light has blessed so many with her humorous musings, which hide profound trusts, all wrapped up in a giggle or three. Sparkle is simply love on legs. Time spent in the company of this gorgeous soul can only bring more joy into anyone's life.

The thing that differentiates you (Sally) from others, is that you do not go out to people with an agenda, but with unconditional love. I still cannot describe the state I was in when you visited Switzerland. I felt as if I were in a state of flow and blissful happiness. I want to learn from you how one can live like this every day.
